Survival Purple 2

Survival Ebook

With intertwining memories and a world of deceit and betrayal yet to be exposed, Survival, book #1 in the Twisted series, is an intense, compelling page-turner, seen through the eyes of Skye 'the Skillet' Jones.

A mother. A father. Two daughters and a son. A happy suburban family of five.
An alcoholic mother. An absent father.
Abandonment. A family ripped apart.
Oliver. Beautiful Oliver. My twin brother, my protector.
Fighting. Freedom. Death.
Cut Throat Curtis. My fire and ice. My light and shade. My pleasure and pain.
He taught me to fight; to control emotional turmoil with physical distraction. He had pain of his own, secrets he would never reveal, and I should have known it would only be a matter of time until he left, becoming a ghost in a life I no longer knew.
Thomas. My magic. My fairy-tale. The man who promised the happy ever after I’d never dared to dream of. My prince. My lover. My everything and more.
But fate was waiting, as always. The merciless force of kismet watched over me, biding its time, waiting to strike; to plunge me into the depths of defeat and leave me with no choice but to succumb.
It was coming, the twist of fate that would bring me to my knees. It was up to me, Skye the Skillet, to decide whether to bow down and surrender to its will, or fight back, to fight for what I had left.
To fight for my survival…

Revival Purple
Revival Ebook

With explosive suspense and dark sensuality, Revival, book #2 in the Twisted series, is a passionate, riveting tale of power, conflict and dangerous desire, told by Cut Throat Curtis Mason.

I was a failure. An orphan. A quitter. A heartbreaker. A screw-up. A criminal. A monster.
The life I was imprisoned in was the life I deserved.
Ollie’s death shredded my tenacity, chipped away at my confidence and stole the will to fight out from under me. When the toxic worthlessness swimming through my veins made me reject the only girl I’d ever loved, she took the rest of my life with her.
Alone, away from home and emotionally desolate, I was propelled into a life of greed, control and crime when fate played a hand and forced mine into the clutches of Charlie Alexander Tattersell. My vixen. My poison. My villainous addiction.
I fought for and against the life that held me captive, but one painful reminder returned to haunt me.
I was the only one who knew the truth.
Skye’s truth. My love. My driving force. My life’s obsession.
After enlisting the help of my protégé, Jesse ‘the Gentleman’ Kennedy, the mission began.
I had to find answers, retribution and the spark that would release me from the claws of the abyss and bring me one step closer to the Skillet.
With new secrets waiting around every corner, a vicious Charlie waiting to bury me and the haunting memories of every mistake I’d ever made hanging over me, I missed one vital clue.
The key to my revival…

The bus stopped outside the factory and I jumped off and made my way in miserably. I hated work; I wanted nothing more than to get the fuck out of there, away from my bench partner, and into the gym. But with a heavy sigh, I pulled the door open, stepped inside the building and walked straight to the locker room. Once inside I pulled my boiler suit up over my clothes, removed the chain Dad bought for my birthday, crammed my stuff into my locker, and began my shift.

I hoped my bench partner, Calvin, would be out today, breaking the law somewhere, but he was committed to his probation. More than half of the employees here were on probation or being monitored by social workers on their road to recovery. The rest of us were bums; failures at school with no prospects. I say us because that was the role I played. I kept quiet during lunch break, and kept conversation minimal while we were working. I wanted them all to think I had vacuum between the ears because they couldn’t know the real reason I was here. People didn’t choose to work in a place like this. I had to get us away, Skye and me, and I had to play my part and keep it hidden. Just until I could save enough money and get us the hell out.

I stopped at my bench and nodded a greeting to Calvin. He nodded back and pulled out his tools, setting his screwdriver and Stanley knife on the bench between us – unnecessary since we were boxing up hubcaps today, but I didn’t say anything. Calvin had just spent four years in prison for manslaughter. That was a story I’d never believe; I’d heard the truth straight from his mouth. He killed his sister’s boyfriend when he returned from work one night and found them in bed together. He beat the man to death and God knew his lawyer must have been a miracle worker to secure him a manslaughter plea bargain. He got this blood-thirsty look in his eyes whenever the point of his screwdriver caught the light above us, and that was always my cue to put a little more distance between us.

“Oliver!” Came the booming voice of my boss as I taped another box shut. “In my office.”

I rolled my eyes, then my neck, placed the box on the floor with the others ready for cataloguing, and headed to his office.

“Yes?” I asked, stepping in and closing the door behind me.

“Take a seat.”

He didn’t even look up from whatever documents he was reading. I shook my head.

“I’m good. I’ve got a lot to do, so…”

He looked up then, with a piercing glare, and before I’d even realised I’d moved, I was sitting opposite him.

“Have you thought about what I said?” he asked, running his index finger along the edge of his desk, a subtle signal that I needed to be careful.

“About taking over?” He nodded. “No.”

“You should think about it. I made you a very good, reasonable and rewarding offer, Oliver.”

He was trying to intimidate me. The old man was trying really hard. I almost felt sorry for him that it had no effect on me. Almost. I refused to feel sorry for a man like him, and I refused to let him frighten me into doing something I didn’t want to do.

“I don’t need to think about anything.” I shrugged and stood up. “I work here, you employ me, and I don’t want or need anything from you. I’m getting out of this shit hole town as soon as I can, and I’m taking Skye with me. Stay out of my way and just pay my wages until then.”

I turned and left the office. Hell if I’d let him keep me here, no matter what he thought he could offer me, or the powerful scowls of hatred he shot me as if he couldn’t understand why I didn’t want it.

The man was out of his mind.
